My family has been enjoying Bar-S products for decades.  Cookouts have marked family reunions, graduations, birthdays and other big events. Wherever we have lived in the USA,  Bar-S hot dogs have made an appearance at each.  In conjunction with Bar-S 100 Day of Summer Sweepstakes, I am sharing our latest barbecue with you.

Family Celebration with Bar-S hot dogs and sausages

This week, the family is gathering once again to celebrate a milestone as my daughter is baptized into our church.  All of the serious moments will happen at the church building, but more family memories happen around the dinner table than anywhere else.  My parents drove in from Arizona, my sister-in-law flew in from Washington.  We have been celebrating all week with huge meals.  The weather has cooperated, sparing us from the usual Florida rains.  It’s been perfect weather for barbecuing.

Hot dogs, fruit salad, potato salad, chips and pop made up this meal.  Some of the more adventurous of us topped our dogs with a Southern style slather of smoked mustard, pulled pork, caramelized onions and kettle chips.  The buns were toasted in a garlic bread style making those hot dog creations the stars of the night.
