My kids are all about big flavors.  It doesn’t matter if I am making steak or beans, if the dish has enough flavor, they will like it.  With a big family like mine, I try really hard to make meals for less than $20.  It just isn’t feasible to spend oodles of money on big ticket food items for every single dinner.   We are big on budget meals…as long as they taste good.  It almost doesn’t matter what I serve, as long as it is tasty.

Barbecue Grilled Cheese and Turkey Sandwich: a lot of flavor without having to spend a lot of moola #RollintoSavings #shop KRAFT #RollintosavaingsI don’t know about you, but I find that I make a couple of big shopping trips, usually right after payday.  I am sure there are a lot of families who do the same and find that those last days around the 1st and 15th of the month are a lot leaner and contain more budget friendly meals.   I have found that using  KRAFT products on rollback at Walmart can help save money to spend on other things. #RollintoSavings!Kraft products #rollintosavings #shopNormally, a grilled cheese sandwich would fall under the lunch category in my house.  However, when I add meat of any kind to them, I can get away with serving them for dinner.   I add some carrot sticks or green beans on the side and voila! A simple meal for the family has been created.

In this particular sandwich, I looked to my Southern surroundings for inspiration.  I cannot drive two miles without passing a barbecue restaurant in my home town.  Those places seem to have figured out a magical way of pumping delicious aromas into the air so that your car wants to drive itself into their parking lots.  It seemed natural to add a little Barbecue Mayo to a turkey and cheese sandwich.  The leftover sauce was great for dipping tater tots at another meal (score! two meals from the same sauce!!)  I was thinking it would be really good slathered over chicken pieces and then baked, too.Barbecue Mayo: great as a sandwich spread, dip for veggies or topping for baked chiken #RollintoSavings #shop
