Christmas Home Tour: Part 2 – The Dining Room

If you have not already done so, make sure to check out my Christmas Home Tour {Part 1} where I share our entryway and living room. Now, let’s move on to the dining room, right off of the living room. I love looking over and seeing the wreaths hanging in the…

Decorations
In the dining room, I decided to go with a classic and elegant Christmas decor theme. I started by adding a festive table runner in a traditional red and green plaid pattern. This instantly set the tone for the holiday spirit in the room. I then placed a beautiful centerpiece made of evergreen branches, pinecones, and red berries. The warm and natural colors of the centerpiece added a cozy and inviting feel to the dining area.

For the walls, I hung a collection of vintage Christmas-themed art pieces. These framed prints added a touch of nostalgia and charm to the room, and tied in perfectly with the overall decor theme. I also hung some garland around the dining room mirror, adding a touch of greenery and festive cheer.

Table Setting
For the table setting, I chose classic white dinnerware and layered it with gold-rimmed chargers for an extra touch of elegance. I then added red napkins and tied them with a simple sprig of evergreen for a pop of color. The combination of red, green, and gold created a beautiful and timeless look for our Christmas dining table.

To complete the table setting, I placed some candles in antique brass candle holders to add a warm and intimate glow to the dining room. The soft flickering of the candlelight created a cozy and inviting ambiance for our holiday meals.

Special Touches
To add some extra special touches to the dining room, I brought in some fresh greenery. I placed a small Christmas tree in the corner of the room, decorated with vintage style ornaments and twinkling lights. The tree added a magical and festive element to the dining area, making it feel like a true winter wonderland.

I also added some small potted poinsettias throughout the room, bringing in pops of vibrant red to complement the classic Christmas color palette. The poinsettias added a cheerful and bright touch to the space, and their presence truly made the room feel like it was filled with holiday joy.

As a final touch, I placed a vintage-inspired Christmas music playlist on a Bluetooth speaker in the dining room. The soft sounds of classic holiday tunes filled the air and added an extra layer of warmth and cheer to our Christmas gatherings.

Conclusion
Overall, I am thrilled with the way our dining room turned out for the holidays. The classic and elegant decor theme created a warm and inviting atmosphere for our family and guests to enjoy. With the festive table setting, special touches, and timeless decorations, the dining room truly feels like the heart of our Christmas celebrations.
