Organising for my 2020 Solo Exhibition
I recently completed my solo exhibition ‘The 100 Embroideries project’ and one of the key factors in its success was my ability to stay organised throughout the process. From creating inventory lists to preparing exhibition catalogues, I used specific tools and systems to streamline the entire process. In this article, I will discuss how I got organised for my exhibition and the tools I used to make it happen.
Using Artwork Archive for Inventory Lists
One of the most important aspects of organising for my exhibition was creating accurate and detailed inventory lists. I used Artwork Archive, a cloud-based inventory software specifically designed for artists, to create and manage my inventory lists. This tool allowed me to easily input all of my artwork details, including titles, dimensions, mediums, and pricing. It also generated unique inventory numbers for each piece, making it much easier to keep track of everything.
Creating Portfolio’s and Exhibition Catalogues
Another key part of preparing for my exhibition was creating portfolio’s and exhibition catalogues to showcase my work to potential buyers and gallery visitors. Artwork Archive made this process incredibly simple, allowing me to create professional-looking portfolio’s and catalogues with just a few clicks. I was able to upload high-quality images of my artwork, add descriptions and pricing, and customize the layout to fit my exhibition’s theme.
Streamlining the Process with Artwork Archive
Artwork Archive not only helped me create inventory lists and exhibition catalogues, but it also streamlined the entire process of organising for my exhibition. The software’s intuitive interface and user-friendly features saved me a significant amount of time and effort, allowing me to focus on creating and promoting my artwork. I was able to easily track the location and status of each piece, generate reports for insurance and tax purposes, and even sell my artwork directly through the platform.
Summary
In summary, organising for my 2020 solo exhibition was made much easier thanks to the use of Artwork Archive. This powerful inventory software allowed me to create detailed inventory lists, professional portfolio’s, and exhibition catalogues quickly and easily. Its user-friendly features and time-saving capabilities were invaluable in helping me stay organised and focused throughout the entire process. If you are an artist preparing for an exhibition or looking for a better way to manage your inventory, I highly recommend giving Artwork Archive a try.
